Beauty is the application.
STEM is the foundation.
CoSTEMology makes the chemistry, biology, mathematics, technology and engineering already embedded in the beauty industry explicit, rigorous and career-connected.

STEM students can see themselves in more places.
The beauty industry is already a laboratory for applied chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, product design, technology and entrepreneurship. CoSTEMology turns those real-world connections into structured learning.
Rather than adding unrelated STEM activities to cosmetology, the pathway surfaces the academic concepts students are already encountering through formulation, hair and skin science, sanitation, materials, measurement, pricing and product development.

Eight courses connect beauty science to college, careers and innovation.
The current curriculum progresses from foundational beauty science into cosmetic chemistry, trichology, anatomy, microbiology, formulation, business and future-facing innovation.
See the complete COS101–COS108 pathway →From foundational science to innovation.
The sequence is designed so students build scientific vocabulary, laboratory habits, technical reasoning and industry context as the pathway advances.

Students do more than memorize science vocabulary.
CoSTEMology is designed around investigation, analysis, experimentation, design, creation, communication and reflection in contexts students can recognize and apply.
Built to be reviewed, challenged and strengthened.
Invited scientists, mathematicians, STEM educators, curriculum professionals, CTE leaders and beauty-industry experts can examine the curriculum, lesson plans, assessments and standards alignment inside a protected review portal.
